If one person is a foreigner, the second is a local resident, then it is possible to get married in Estonia through a Vital Statistics Department or a notary, but not for everyone, it depends on the citizenship of the other half.

In order to obtain permission from the court to marry a foreigner in Estonia, you must submit an application to the court.

The cost of completing the application is 145 euros.

Goverment fee for application is 10 euros

(If desired) submission of an application to the court by our lawer — 50 euros.

We will need the following documents:

—   copies of passports with personal data and ID card

—   certificate from the goverment institutions according to place of residence, about not being married (a notarized translation into Estonian is required, the translation can be done in our office)

—   copies of the birth certificate (no need to notarize)

—  in some cases, a divorce certificate (notarized translation into Estonian)

After receiving documents from you and paying for our services, the documents will be ready for court during 7 days.

In the future, our office can help you prepare documents for a residence permit due to marriage.

If both are foreigners (both people do not live in Estonia), then for this it is necessary to obtain permission from the court for the marriage of two people, and submit 2 applications to the court.

The cost of completing two applications to the court is 280 euros (140 euros for one application).

The goverment fee for the application is 10 euros (for both applications 20 euros).
